The Kowis Grid Roof-Top Segment is engineered for the toughest drilling conditions: bridge decks, nuclear containment walls and other structures with ultra-dense rebar mats. The cross-hatch grid structure on the face traps and grinds cutting debris, reducing direct segment wear and extending life in high-rebar conditions. The roof-top peak profile maintains penetration even when hitting steel.
Segment Profile
- Shape: Cross-hatch grid + roof-top peak
- Concentration: Maximum diamond content
- Bond hardness: Very hard (matched to extreme rebar)
- Available heights: 10mm / 12mm / 15mm
Best Suited For
- Bridge deck drilling with dense rebar mats
- Nuclear and containment structure drilling
- Heavy reinforced concrete foundations
- Extreme condition, high-production drilling
When to Choose the Grid Roof-Top Shape
Pick the grid roof-top when segment wear from rebar is killing your production. The cross-hatch grid reduces the wear rate dramatically compared to a standard roof-top. For moderate rebar conditions, the standard Turbo Roof-Top is more cost-effective.
